My Little Space in the World

I thought I would share my little space in the world with you. 

I live at the base of Starr Mountain, which is part of the Cherokee National Forest. Its elevation ranges from 750 to 2290 feet.  

A neighbor took four of us to the top of the mountain in the first picture and we hiked from down.  It took several hours but it was a lot of fun.  

Here are a couple of pictures from my back deck.

It is a very beautiful place with so many types of trees and flowers.   Here is one of my favorite trees, the beautiful magnolia.

We also get the animals of the forest such as; bobcat, bear, deer, fox, coyote, turkey and boar, which at times can be troubling but also beautiful.
